SUMMARY
AND BACKGROUND: The Southern Crescent Swim League is
requesting the use of Forest Park Indoor Pool and Gym to conduct the League
Championship Meet. The Meet will be held
on Saturday, July 15th,
3. Ordinance by the City Council of the
City of
authorizing the Mayor execute an Agreement with the JAG
for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, 2006-f4537-ga-dj award
year 2006 in the amount of fourteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety one
dollars to be added into the budget of the Police Department, to provide an
effective date; and for other purposes
SUMMARY
AND BACKGROUND: The
Forest Park Police Department has been offered an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant for award year 2006 in
the amount of fourteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety one dollars. The primary purpose of this grant is to help
equip the Forest Park Police Training Unit, which is a unit designed to better
train officers to provide the best trained law enforcement officers for the
citizens of the City of Forest Park.
4. Consider a Resolution by the City

Forest Park, to authorize the donation
of Surplus Cell phones to the Battered Women’s Association and the Senior
Citizens; to provide for severability; to repeal all resolutions and parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith; to provide an effective date; and for other
purposes

AND BACKGROUND:
5. Consider an Ordinance to extend the
Moratorium for up to an Additional ninety days on the acceptance of
applications for the permitting of, and on the permitting of, “PLACES OF ASSEMBLY”, as defined herein, within the “DOWNTOWN FOREST PARK AREA”, as defined herein; to provide for the
purposes of the Moratorium, to provide for findings of fact, to provide for the
imposition of the Moratorium and for the duration of the Moratorium; to provide
for an appeal process; to provide for severability; to provide an effective
date; to repeal all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith to
the extent of such conflict; and for other purposes
SUMMARY
AND BACKGROUND: This Ordinance extends the current Moratorium
on permits for places of assembly in the downtown area of the City for an
additional ninety days.
