Fleet Maintenance
Mission:
To extend the useable service life of city equipment, thereby achieving the maximum "return on investment" from taxpayers dollars. To provide a strong preventative maintenance program in which wear, tear and change in use of the equipment is anticipated. To work closely with other city departments so as to better understand and forecast their needs. To provide the City of Forest Park with the safest, most cost efficient and best maintained fleet possible.
Services:
Vehicle/equipment maintenance and repair
Design equipment bid specifications
Manage the city's fuel program
Schedule routine services
Responsibilities:
To provide city personnel with safe and mechanically sound equipment.
To monitor the city's fuel usage
To schedule equipment services in advance of their due date
To extend the serviceable life of all city equipment
