Minutes

 

 

A regular meeting of the Forest Park/Fort Gillem Local Redevelopment Authority was held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the Forest Park City Hall, 745 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, GA 30297.

 

Board Members: John Parker, Vice Chairman; Sparkle Adams; Corine Deyton; Don Judson; Linda Lord; Debbie Youmans.

 

Staff, Legal Counsel and Others: Fred Bryant, Executive Director; Joe Harris, City Attorney; Frank Barton, DOD OEA; Pam Bates, Fort Gillem BRAC Office; Joe Plunkett, Hurt Norton Associates; Bob Tritt, McKenna, Long and Aldrich.

 

Vice Chairman Parker called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. It was determined that a quorum was present. The following matters were addressed:

 

Approval of Minutes:   Don Judson made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 24th meeting, seconded by Linda Lord. The Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes. 

      

Chairman’s Announcements and Comments:

John Parker reminded the Board of the next regular meeting at 6PM, December 19, 2007. 

 

Executive Director’s Update:

Fred Bryant informed the Board that HUD has reopened our application to give our attorneys and the HUD legal counsel the opportunity to discuss concerns about the MOA and LBA. A conference call is set for November 16, 2007. An update will be provided at the next meeting.

 

Old Business:

None.

 

New Business:

The RFQ Evaluation Committee is making good progress and will be prepared to brief the Board after Thanksgiving. Vice Chairman Parker and the Board approved scheduling a called meeting to receive the Committee’s report and recommendations for 6PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2007.

None.

 

Adjournment:

A motion was made by Sparkle Adams to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Linda Lord.  The meeting was adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
