April 22, 2009

Minutes

A regular meeting of the Forest Park/Fort Gillem Local Redevelopment Authority was held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Forest Park City Hall, 745 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, GA 30297.

Board Members: Sparkle Adams; Corine Deyton; Donald Judson; Linda Lord; Maudie McCord; John Parker; John Westervelt, and Debbie Youmans.

Staff, Legal Counsel and Others: Fred Bryant, Executive Director; Frank Barton, OEA; Herb Wolverton, Fort Gillem BRAC Transition Coordinator; Phil Browning, GMACC; and Joe Harris, City Attorney.

John Westervelt called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. It was determined that a quorum was present. The following matters were addressed:

Approval of Minutes: Don Judson made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 25, 2009 meeting, seconded by John Parker. The Board voted to approve the minutes, Corine Deyton abstaining.

Chairman’s Announcements and Comments:

John Westervelt welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Executive Director’s Update:

None.

Old Business:

None.

New Business:

Eric Smith, Ken Bleakley, and Gary Monegon provided an update on the Business Plan and answered LRA Board questions. In May, the Matrix Team will recommend the final Business Plan to be adopted and suggest how to negotiate with the Army.

The next regular meeting will be May 27, 2009, at 6:00 PM.

A motion was made by John Parker to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Linda Lord. The meeting was adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
