Minutes
A called meeting of the Forest Park/Fort Gillem Local
Redevelopment Authority was held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at the
Board Members: Mr. Shane Short, Chairman; Sparkle
Adams; Mike Beatty; Corine Deyton; David Halcome; John Parker; Debbie Youmans.
Staff, Legal Counsel and

Bryant, Executive Director; Joe Harris, City Attorney; Herb Wolverton, Base
Transition Coordinator-Fort Gillem
Chairman
Short called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. It was determined that a quorum
was present. The following matters were addressed:
Approval of Minutes: John
Parker made a motion to table the minutes of the May 23rd and May 30th
meetings, seconded by Corine Deyton. The Board voted unanimously to table the
minutes.

Short acknowledged the Board members-Sparkle Adams, Corine Deyton, David
Halcome, and Debbie Youmans- who will join him in

discussed the upcoming Congressional delegation meeting and tour of
Executive Director’s Update:
Fred
Bryant briefly discussed the following public meetings or briefings: Homeless
Application (June 26th); Restoration Advisory Board (June 28th);
Environmental Assessment Scoping Workshops (July 10th); and Clayton
County Chamber Military Affairs Committee (July 11th).
He
also discussed the negotiations with Calvary Refuge and provided the Board
members a copy of the draft Memorandum of Agreement covering the approved
homeless accommodation.

Deyton made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss property
acquisition at

A motion was made by John Parker to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Sparkle Adams. The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
